Modified settings will not be saved.  Users may save up to 10 job settings for future use.

Keywords

Keywords and their variants as well as User fields are supported in a special keyword syntax called a keyword string.

Keywords support these characters:

a-z  0-9

special characters: $ ' / : & + _-

Special characters must be accompanied with either an letter or number (e.g. "$" is not permitted, however "$ 10" is an acceptable keyword [quotation marks to indicate keyword only]).  Special characters alone will produce an error condition.

Keyword variants are place in parenthesis separated by a comma. The maximum length of keywords and variants is 150 characters See the following examples for further explanation.

Keyword variation syntax

Result

dog (dogs, dog's, canine, canine:, k9) food (nutrition, bones & biscuits, milk-bones)

Okay

dog (dogs) food ()

ERROR.  Variations must have valid words within the () marks

dog (four legged animals, canine) food

Okay

dog (dogs,,) food

ERROR.  2 commas without a term in-between

Up to 3 user fields (max 50 characters each) may be added to the end of a keyword string.  User fields may contain alpha/numeric characters.  Each field is separated with two asterisks [e.g. dog food**45150**$.027**0.176]. In this case, the User fields are:
User1 = Wordtracker predict searches per month
User2 = Overture 2nd position max bid price
   User3 = Google KEI value

User fields are passed through to SE ANALYST Reports.

Custom URLs

In addition to the Top Page URLs that are attained from SERP (Search Engine Report Page), Custom URLs.  In this way, metrics may be attained for specific URLs and compared directly to Top Page URLs.  The maximum number of Custom URLs is 50.

URLs may not exceed 1000 characters in length.  Longer URLs shall be truncated.  http://domain.com and http://domain.com/ are considered equivelant.

The path string is case sensitive so that http://domain.com/dir is not the same as http://domain.com/Dir and will be treated as seperate and distinct URLs.
