Ignore

Anchor Text

When active, words found in the specific tags will be EXCLUDED from Body count (Body/B-Words) except for Anchor Text, and keyword density percentage values.

Anchor Text is a special case.  Whether checked or unchecked, Anchor Text is counted as part of the Body count.

When Anchor Text is set NOT to ignored (unchecked), <a href...> tag parsing is performed for keyword Phrase matching and reported in the "Number of Phrase conditions found in body / H ref" column only.  If Anchor Text is set to Ignore, visible anchor text will not be considered for Phrase, Broad or Part matches, however, <a href...> tag parsing will still be reported in the "Number of Phrase conditions found in body / H ref" column.

all other 300 series

303 (See Other), 304 (Not Modified), 305 (User Proxy), 306 (unused), 307 (Temporary Redirect) are not common but may be activated for SE ANALYST valuation.

Broad Match Width

A multi-term keyword (a keyword that has more than one physical word) is considered a broad match when the terms are found within a number of characters from the end of the first term.  The default is set to 50 characters.  The number of characters may be set from 10 to 100.  Spaces are counted as a character.

Example: “The frost is on the pumpkin”.  If the keyword were “frost pumpkin”, the first instance of the term “frost” starts the broad match condition.  Since the term “pumpkin” is within 50 characters of the end of the term “frost”, a broad match condition is met.  A broad match condition will not be found if the order of the terms found is different.

Note that Phrase matches are not counted as Broad matches and are considered mutually exclusive.

STOP words

The default stop list is the same list believed to be used by Google.  All stop words are deleted from all KDA analysis.

Example: in the sentence “the seed is in the flower”, the, is, and in are stop words and removed for analysis.  The sentence is reduced to “seed flower”.  In this case, if “seed flower” were a keyword, it would be found as a phrase match and broad match.
